Frequently Asked Questions

Is the app free?
Yes. The app is free, ad-free, and contains no in-app purchases.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. All content (facts, milestones, anthem audio) is bundled within the app and available without an internet connection.
How do I switch between English and Arabic?
From the About tab, tap the language toggle. The whole app, including layout direction, switches instantly.
Is the app affiliated with the UAE government?
No. The app is an independent personal contribution. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any UAE government entity. Its facts come from official and trusted sources, and each one names its source.
Where do the facts come from?
Every fact and milestone names the page it came from. The sources include UAE government publishers such as u.ae (the official UAE portal) and WAM (Emirates News Agency), and other institutions and publishers such as Gallup and Gulf News. Tap "Sources" inside the app to see the full list with direct links and quotes.
What about the national anthem?
The audio is provided courtesy of the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention. The attribution is shown on the Home screen.
Does the app collect personal data?
No personally identifiable information is collected. The app sends anonymous usage events (such as "anthem played" or "fact viewed") to show which features are useful, and, if it crashes or freezes, an anonymous diagnostic report so the bug can be fixed. None of it carries your name, email, location or contacts, and there is no setting in the app to turn it off. See the Privacy Policy for details.
I think a fact is wrong. How do I report it?
Email us with the fact in question and a link to a contradicting official source. We’ll check it against the original source and update the app if needed.
Why is "Update Now" appearing?
For critical bug fixes, the app may prompt for an update. Tap "Update Now" to open the App Store. If the prompt is mandatory, an older version may stop working until you update.
Can I share an "Express Pride" card publicly?
Yes — that's what the feature is for. Just be aware that you remain responsible for the content under the laws of your jurisdiction, including the UAE Cybercrime Law.
